    Foundations is an intense, four-day program that provides a detailed look at the principles and practices of ODI, starting with selecting a market and taking participants through market strategy formulation. Participants learn our theory and apply it, developing a roadmap for a specific innovation initiative – all under the guidance of an experienced Strategyn consultant. Learning is enhanced through a combination of lectures, interactive discussions, simulations and company application.

  • Using Outcome-Driven Innovation to Drive Market Strategy

    This two-day program provides a complete overview of ODI principles and practices for those who are responsible for market strategy. The first day lays the foundation for uncovering value opportunities in a market. The second provides insight into how ODI guides strategy and growth decisions, and how it is used to identify new markets. Participants learn how ODI can steer market strategy initiatives, such as when to pursue core market growth, create new markets, or pursue disruptive innovation strategies. Learning is enhanced through lectures, interactive discussions, simulations, and company application.

  • Service Innovation: How to Go From Customer Needs to Breakthrough Services

    Using the industry-tested Outcome-Driven Innovation theory, this two-day program transforms ODI theory into practice for service innovation. The first day lays the foundation for uncovering opportunities based on how customers judge value, with a particular emphasis on new service innovation. The second day provides insight into how customer needs can be uncovered to innovate current services and how customer needs can shape a winning service strategy. Throughout the course, participants’ knowledge is reinforced through practical tools and application to their businesses. Learning is enhanced through lectures, interactive discussions, simulations, and company applications.

  • Opportunity Discovery with ODI Data

    Have you ever wondered how much untapped opportunity lies within the data of the projects that your company has already completed?

    By focusing on the stable customer needs rather than the unstable current solutions, Outcome-Driven Innovation shows companies where the greatest opportunities will be in the future.  The fact that the customer needs (aka desired outcomes) are stable gives ODI data much more power than “product-based” market research studies.  Plus, ODI data is deep, wide, and rich.  Almost intimidatingly so.

    This class will take students deeper into the ODI data.  They will learn new ways to efficiently mine their data from past projects. Working with seasoned Strategyn consultants, students will learn new tips, tricks, and techniques for mining opportunities from assets that they already have by reviewing studies that have been completed over the years.
